Boomer Volunteering

When it comes to boomers and volunteering, giving back is an important tool for happy and rewarding years ahead. You get more out of it then you put in and you are helping the less fortunate at the same time. Many opportunities exist for boomers looking to give back.

Some volunteering is low key and others have physical awards. There are endless amounts of volunteering opportunities, and your unique skills may be applied to a number of areas. Many volunteers enjoy helping the homeless or hospice caring. Others spend their volunteering time mentoring someone or tutoring children. Many others babysit, work at hospitals and daycares, or help seniors.

Think about what you have to offer at first before beginning and how much time you can give. Don’t overdo it or you may be discouraged. The more you become interested, the easier it is to devote your time. Give back and you’ll get back.
